Sure, you could keep up your winter routine. But with the rising temps comes a whole new set of challenges. So this summer, instead of simply putting an iron to that dress shirt, tossing some water on your face, and heading out the door, try these quick tips to freshen up your morning regimen.

Upgrade your deodorant.
Make sure your product is both a deodorant and an antiperspirant. That doesn’t cut it? Turn to something that’s designed to shut off sweat production entirely, like Driclor.

Try toner.
Skin tends to be oily? Swipe a toner, like the Men’s Alcohol-Free Herbal Toner from Kiehl’s, across your forehead and nose every morning. Then pack it in your messenger bag to de-shine midday too.

Don’t forget SPF.
The key: Put sunscreen on at least 15 minutes before you head outside so it has time to absorb. Choose an SPF 30+ that’s formulated for the face only (like this) to ward off breakouts.

Lighten up your cologne.
Your winter cologne won’t smell the same on you in the warmer months. Replace it with a fresh, airy scent – and leave that musky one for the first signs of fall.

Want to cap off your morning the right way? Grab the right commuting gear too. Our Upgrade Your Morning: Commuting & Grooming Musts Boutique opened Tuesday, May 27, at 11AM ET.
