The Beacon Hill neighborhood may be getting a healthy new addition to it’s restaurant mix. The Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry blog reports that “a new organic cold pressed juice and paleta restaurant called Pressed could open soon at 120 Charles Street in Beacon Hill.”

According to the blog, the restaurant will go before the Boston Licensing Board next Wednesday, June 4. Apparently, the cafe will offer up “Boston’s first broad menu of organic, made to order” items. These include: “salads, cold pressed juices, paletas and a number of other specialty items that are popular, but not limited to vegan and vegetarian consumers,” as stated in the appeal provided by the Beacon Hill Civic Association.

The company also claims that Pressed will “provide Beacon Hill residents with its very own organic food and cold pressed juice establishment promoting healthy living and lifestyles for its residents.”

According to the appeal, the company will be partnering with Nashville paleta maker, Las Paletas, to provide “flavorful products.”* For reference, a paleta is basically a healthy popsicle. Some of the flavors will include Grilled Pineapple, Lime-Cucumber-Chili, Strawberry-Hibiscus-Basil, Avocado Cream, and Mexican Chocolate Chili. Sounds delish to me.

We’ll keep you updated on the progress of Pressed. In the meantime, we’re looking forward to a new healthy cafe option coming our way (hopefully) soon.

Editor’s Note (Oct. 27): Restaurateur David Clendenin has emailed to tell us that, contrary to the BHCA zoning appeal, Pressed never had a partnership with Las Paletas. That document is no longer available at the URL where it was originally published online, but it remains available here
