You’ve heard it before: sitting is the new smoking.

And it’s certainly not hard to believe given the amount of time Americans spend at work. According to Daily Infographic, the “average American spends 90,000 hours at work over the course of their lifetime.” And if you’re like many Americans, most of that time is probably spent sitting in front of a computer, typing away your life.

According to the infographic from Career Bright, the more frequently someone sits the shorter their life expectancy. Yikes. Fortunately, the visual (below) charts out a few steps one can make while at work to lengthen their life and improve their mental acuity.
