Let’s face it – Chinatown could perhaps be one of the most underrated restaurant neighborhoods in the city. With trendy new eateries popping up throughout the Hub, it’s easy to forget that quite a few tried-and-true dim sum spots already happen to be in our backyard. And let’s not forget about the neighborhood’s tasty hot pot and noodle joints, either.

Fortunately for Boston foodies, there’s now one more tasty reason to visit the area next week. This upcoming Monday, June 2, Shojo Asian Bar & Bistro will host a special Taste of Taiwan event for all soup dumpling lovers.

Starting at 6 p.m., visiting Taiwanese top chefs will create a special five course dinner alongside Shojo chef Jeremy Lee. Guests can experience a true Taste of Taiwan menu which includes “traditional Taiwanese dishes and a special cocktail,” according to the event description.

The menu will include: Taiwan appetizer sampler, Pork Soup Dumplings (called “Xiao Long Bao”), special Taiwanese Chive Dumplings, Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup Duo, and a dessert.

The best part is that the entire dinner will only costs you $35. The special dinner event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. this Monday night. If what you’ve just read sounds delectable, you can buy your ticket to the event, here.
