Let’s be honest. Aesthetically, the original Google Glass was about as appealing as $2 drugstore frames. So, basically, not the type of eyewear I’d be willing to drop $1,500 on. But when I saw Diane von Furstenberg’s take on the techy specs, well, my opinion did a complete one-eighty.

The 68-year-old designer isn’t a newcomer to Google Glass. In fact, she was the first to feature it on a catwalk during her Spring 2013 show. And now that she’s giving it her own stylish twist, it’s actually something I could see myself wearing. The polarized shades and thick-framed lenses are reminiscent of DVF’s iconic wrap dress – functional with a dash of sexy.
