When word spread that Legoland Discovery Center would be opening up a Boston location, Lego-loving adults and children alike were beyond excited. The amusement center opened up in Somerville’s Assembly Row last month, and while it’s decked out with a tall, Lego-built giraffe outside, and has its own Lego-built replica of Boston inside, many adults who grew up playing with the iconic toy might have been met with some disappointment: Adults are only admitted to Legoland if accompanied by a child under the age of 16.

It’s true that most of the attraction is geared towards children, from an action ride to the jungle gym, but still – what gives? Adults should be free to roam and revel in the glory that is Legoland. But, to make up for this fine-print downside, Legoland will be hosting designated, regular, adults-only nights, and the first one will take place tomorrow, June 18, from 7 to 9 p.m.

These special nights invite anyone 18 and older to explore the center, and they’ll take place the third Wednesday of every month, after the inaugural run tomorrow night. Tickets are $22.50, the regular price of an adult ticket, and must be purchased online before the event.

Adults, sans children, will have the chance to explore the entire center, from the virtual factory tour, to the Kingdom Quest and Merlin’s Apprentice rides, to the 4D cinema. So if you’re childless in Boston and want to explore Legoland without hoards of kids, grab your tickets online and go explore. Don’t worry if you miss this first event though; adult nights will be back once a month.
