Fan of food trucks? Prove it.

A couple of months ago, Eater Boston reported that a new food truck called Madear’s Cucina would “one day hit the streets of Boston…serving a combination of Louisiana and Sicilian food.” Recently, the food truck launched their Kickstarter campaign looking to raise $40,000 and they still need your help.

The Madear’s Cucina team is looking for funding to support the basic food truck needs such as fees, permits, insurance, parking, kitchen supplies, marketing and more. The owner, Robb Curry, states on their Kickstarter page that he and his partner would “be the first and only authentic Louisiana and Sicilian food truck in the greater Boston and New England area.”

According to the Kickstarter campaign, Madear’s Cucina will serve up all sorts of Southern comfort food including “the ‘fix’ins’ like New Orleans Po-Boys (fried catfish, fried oyster, fried crawfish tails and fried shrimp)” as well as “other Louisiana staples such as Jambalaya, Crawfish Étouffée, Hushpuppies… authentic Sicilian arancine and pastas,” Curry states on Kickstarter.

And as tokens of their appreciation, Madear’s Cucina is rewarding their backers with everything from free beverages to free meals. With 18 days left, there’s still time to contribute to the food truck After all, it’s going to be a delicious addition to the Boston mobile eats scene – and who wouldn’t support that?
