With all of Massachusetts’ fantastic breweries, we’d certainly hope that Boston would be home to one of the best beer bars in America. Where else can you find such heavy hitters like Boston Beer Co., Harpoon Brewery, Mercury Brewing Co., Wachusett Brewing Co., and so many more – all in one state? And obviously, there’s no better city than Boston to experience all the great beer that New England has to offer.

Which is why it should come as no surprise that one of the Hub’s own bars has landed on Thrillist’s list of the 33 Best Beer Bars in the Country. Thrillist states:

“These are bars for serious beer people: places where home brewers flock for inspiration and where the beer world’s best artisans roll out their experimental and hard-to-find suds.”

So, where exactly can you find this in Boston? Many places – but Thrillist names Inman Square’s Lord Hobo as one of the best beer bars in the country. The article notes that Lord Hobo’s “40 draughts are eclectic… without being overly precious, and their beer cheese, dosas, and damn delicious popovers ensure you won’t have to go home with just a belly of beer.”

Lord Hobo’s beer list is certainly extensive but not over-whelming. The brew selection changes daily and includes several local brews from Trillium, Jack’s Abbey, etc. The bottled beer selection also includes something for everyone. From hoppy IPA’s to sweeter fruit style beer, there’s plenty to choose from and you definitely won’t leave thirsty.

If you go, Lord Hobo is located at 92 Hampshire St. in Cambridge. Check out the Thrillist’s full list of the 33 Best Beer Bars in the Country, and let us know what you think in the comments below.
