Treat Yo’ Self is an ongoing BostInno series that highlights a deal in the city where you can indulge without suffering financial ruin. Check back each Tuesday for a new way to pretend you’re rich – we’ll even provide the most appropriate scenario to accompany the bargains.

Who: Your friend who’s been saving all year long for their summer vacation. Everything you mention, from cocktail dates to a trip to the movies, is met with talk of budgets and saving accounts. Yawn.

What: Half off tapas with a Spanish influence. Think fried green tomatillas, shredded chicken taquitos and grilled chorizo. Usually, these tapas go for a dollar each (or $10 for a combo plate), which is already a steal, but with this deal, you’ll score them for just 50 cents.

When: Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Where: Masa, with two locations in the area: one in the South End, at 439 Tremont Street, and one in Woburn, at 350 Cambridge Road. The half-off tapas deal is available in the bar area only.

Why: No one, even on the tightest of budgets, can say no to half-off, 50-cents-a-pop tapas. While you’re there munching on your spread, you can probably convince your friend to indulge in one of the restaurant’s inventive summer margaritas, like the Toasted Coconut or Habanero Watermelon, outside on their South End patio to boot. Looking for even more great steals at Masa? Head there for Sunday brunch, when they offer up a two-course meal for $7.95.

How: Don’t even think about grabbing an Uber. Enjoy the July weather by strolling through Boston to the South End, or rent a Hubway and joyride all the way to your half-off tapas.
