Microsoft N.E.R.D. should just rebrand itself as the Boston entrepreneur’s second home. I can’t recall a week when I wasn’t there at least once for a great event. Last night’s “Anything but Work” party was no exception.

Anything but Work was the kick off event to today’s Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council’s unConference being held at the World Trade Center in Boston. Anything but Work was a big networking event drawing hundreds of VCs, entrepreneurs, technologists, startups, service providers and more from the innovation scene here in Boston. With hopes of making that networking less uptight and more relaxed, MassTLC branded the event as networking around “life outside of work.” With taco bars, chip and hot dog stands, ping pong, foosball, Rockband, and connectors in green shirts and cowboy hats introducing people to one another (“The Connector” was also the featured cocktail, a Margarita), Anything but Work was a welcomed change for the Boston innovation and networking scene.

A big thank you to MassTLC and Microsoft NERD for putting together an awesome, free event for the community. The BostInno team had a blast, and we’ve heard the same from others in the community!
