6 months ago NYC opened a “Chief Digital Officer” position, and today named a 27-year old to the position. She is an NYU grad, and founder of a global network of hyper-local citizen journalism – http://www.groundreport.com/ – which sounds like a perfect fit for the position.

She will advocate for NYC’s digital and tech scene, and “help develop forward-thinking policies on social media, digital communications, web 2.0 initiatives and other tools to better serve the public.” She’ll make btwn $75k and $125k a year.

Do you think Boston needs a similar position?
