RWW digs further into a mention in the New York Times this morning about Yahoo! releasing a mobile, personalized news reader that will pull in news from user specified RSS feeds, links from Facebook and Twitter, as well as based on a user’s search history.

According to the article, Yahoo! has been working on this platform (it will also be available online) for several months with 50 engineers under the code name “deadeye.” Yahoo also plans to work with outside publishers to create 3rd party apps “powered by the platform’s engine.”
