With Firefox 4 out, more and more people are experimenting with this new browser’s themes, addons and personas. All of these personalize your browser experience, and can keep your screen fresh and ever-changing – especially since Spring is finally here. A lot of personas and themes take over your browser or use text colors that blend in with the theme itself, and these suggestions keep that in mind. They’re also not just the most popular listed – some have under 100 active users!

Here are 10 ways to brighten your browser for spring using Firefox Personas, Firefox Addons, and Firefox Themes:

Firefox Personas

Spring Moon

It’s not only the daytime that’s refreshing in Spring. This Firefox persona won’t let you forget just how stunning that Spring moon can be. Wearing this persona on your browser means a blue moon will forever peak down at you from the top right of your browser. The only thing we don’t like about this persona is the fact that it also turns the text on your browser tabs a yellow. It definitely pops out against the blue, but if you think it will be a distraction, skip to the personas below.

Tulip Fever

Tulips are a sure sign of Spring, and this persona will keep tulips at your desk all day long. All you need is a tulip scented candle and you can pretend you’re outside in the garden or have the real deal right next to your computer. While there are a ton of tulip personas available, we like this one the best because it doesn’t take over the whole browser and become a distraction.

Does spring remind you of Easter and bunnies? This light persona is one of our favorites, featuring drawings of bunnies that will peak down and check out what you’re working on all day. This is one of the least in-your-face personas, thanks to the subtle colors and simplicity of the line drawings of both the bunnies and surrounding grass and flowers.

Morning Spring

Reminiscent of old Windows backgrounds, the Morning-Spring persona (like Spring Moon, for that matter) is one of the more masculine Firefox personas available. Staring at these lush and seemingly lucky trees all day is a sure way to inspire creativity in whatever you’re working on. Like all the others here, it also won’t completely take over your browser and be a distraction.

Firefox Addons & Themes

YogurtTree

For: Windows XP
Works with: Firefox 3.0-4.0
Rating: 5 Stars
Downloads: 238,764

Themes are a great alternative for anyone who thinks personas are just too much action. This YogurtTree Firefox theme add-on will turn your Firefox buttons into colorful, bubble shapes, instead of stark and rigid icons.

SpringShine

For: Windows XP
Works with: Firefox 3.0, and the addon for Firefox 4.0 is available and currently pending with Mozilla
Rating: 5 stars
Downloads: 161,583

Built by the same creator of YogurtTree, this Firefox theme add-on offers a slightly different take on icon shapes and colors. The buttons themselves are a bit less bubbly than the one above, but are still just as fun and fresh. Either of these themes are sure to brighten up your browser routine for spring.

FabTabs

Works with: Firefox 4.0
Rating: 4 Stars
Downloads: 186,575

The FabTabs Firefox 4 Add-On will color your browser tabs. Each color is selected based on the color that appears most frequently on that particular web page. If personas and themes have a little too much in-your-face action for your cup of tea, FabTabs are a great alternative to brighten your browser for Spring. Ever changing based on the pages your frequent, it’s useful to boot. We don’t recommend using this add on and a flashy persona or theme, however.
