Ever wonder who’s the best? Well Forbes just selected the top tech investors for 2011. These 100 investors have what it takes to recognize a viable startup and turn it into a money making machine.

There have been plenty of top VC lists circulating the web but this year Forbes tried to go above and behind social media “klout” and really identify the venture capitalists that generate profits for their investors and help to build valuable companies. In order to get the rankings, Forbes analyzed every disclosed M&A or IPO exit above $200 million over the last five years, using data provided by Dow Jones VentureSource.
