Basho Technologies

Cambridge Mass. based Basho Technologies, the world’s only data storage platform built for the cloud, has appointed Martin Schneider as VP Marketing. From the company:

“Martin joins Basho from SugarCRM, where he held various executive-level marketing positions. In addition, Martin was the creator and author of the CRM Outsiders blog and social media properties, an award-winning thought leadership destination focused on social media, cloud computing, mobile technologies and their effect on modern businesses. Prior to SugarCRM, Martin managed the application software practice for the 451 Group, a leading software industry analysis firm in NYC.”D

Delphi Technology

Boston Mass. based Delphi Technology, an established provider of technology solutions to the professional liability insurance market, has appointed Michael Ferioli as IT Director. From the company:

“Prior to joining Delphi Technology, Michael most recently served as Network Manager with the Federal Reserve System in Boston where he led a team of senior architects in the design of the network conversion strategy. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years in a variety of professional technology positions throughout Europe and Australia and is ITILv3 certified. In addition to his professional experience, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is currently completing his Executive MBA at Boston University.”

GSI Group

Bedford Mass. based GSI Group (NASDAQ: GSIG), a leading supplier of precision technology to the global medical, electronics, and industrial markets, has appointed Robert Buckley as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). From the company:

“Mr. Buckley comes to GSI after a successful 10-year career with PerkinElmer, Inc., where he served in several financial positions of increasing responsibility. In 2005, he was named chief financial officer and controller of PerkinElmer’s operations in Asia; and most recently served as vice president and chief financial officer of PerkinElmer’s $1 billion Environmental Health business. Prior to joining PerkinElmer, Mr. Buckley held several management positions with Honeywell International, Inc. and was an advisor at Georgeson & Company, Inc.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Boston Mass. based Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a global education and learning company leading the way with innovative solutions and approaches to the challenges facing education today, has appointed Russ Carlson as EVP Enterprise Solutions Group. From the company:

“A 30-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Carlson most recently served as CEO of Overture Technologies Inc., a company providing financial services technology to both the mortgage and student loan markets. Mr. Carlson also served as the President of Blackboard, Inc. where he was responsible for the domestic eLearning business and its 1,500 clients. Mr. Carlson will develop, drive and execute a cohesive, end-to-end strategy for K–12 learning solutions across the country.”

Profitect

Waltham Mass. based Profitect, a software and solution provider that delivers increased profits through the identification and reduction of value chain margin leakage, shrink, waste,  process errors, and operational risks and damages, has appointed Colin McComb as VP Global Sales & Strategy. From the company:

“Colin brings over 15 years of sales and strategy leadership to Profitect. His extensive background lies in value chain processes, operations, and supporting technology enablers. Colin has worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies and brings direct retail experience from Coach Leather Goods, where he was a Director of Demand and Supply Planning. Prior to Profitect, Colin held a Sales Account Executive position with Oracle Corporation.”

Spin Transfer Technologies

Boston Mass. based Spin Transfer Technologies, established by $250M private-equity funded innovation company Allied Minds and New York University to develop and commercialize RAM technology, has appointed Steven H. Cliadakis as General Manager. From the company:

“Mr. Cliadakis comes to Spin Transfer Technologies with over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor, computer memory, software, and telecommunications industries. Prior to his appointment at Spin Transfer Technologies, Mr. Cliadakis was Managing Director at Silicon Impact, a consultancy in business development, sales, marketing, and strategy services for semiconductor, memory, and software clients, acting as the clients’ CEO or Vice President of Business Development. He was previously at Sidense Corporation as Vice President, responsible for worldwide sales, foundry alliances, and marketing.”

Stream Global Services

Wellesley Mass. based Stream Global Services (NYSE AMEX:SGS), a leading, global business process outsource service provider specializing in customer relationship management services for Fortune 1000 companies, appointed Barbara Weyl as EVP, Global Recruiting & Training as well as Cormac Twomey as SVP Sales & Client Management, EMEA. From the company:

“Ms. Weyl brings more than 30 years senior-level HR management experience to Stream Global Services. Ms. Weyl comes to the company most recently from General Electric, where she spent several years in senior HR management positions across a wide array of GE businesses, including industrial, technology and financial services. Most recently, she served as senior managing director, HR, within GE Capital Americas.

Mr. Twomey brings nearly 20 years of strategic sales and business development experience to Stream. Mr. Twomey comes to Stream most recently from Clearridge Limited, a business consultancy he founded to advise multinational companies on go-to-market and channel strategies for the European region. Prior to his consulting work, he held several senior management positions at TeleTech, a leading BPO provider specializing in customer care. Most recently, he served as TeleTech’s VP, General Manager and Managing Director of Teletech UK.”

ThermoEnergy

Worcester Mass. based ThermoEnergy Corporation (OTCBB: TMEN), an industry leader in wastewater recovery and emissions-free combustion technologies, has appointed Robert (Bob) Marrs as VP International Business Development. From the company:

Before joining ThermoEnergy, Marrs was Vice President of Business development at Calera, an engineering and high-technology firm specializing in development of a carbon capture technology. Prior to Calera, Marrs served BOC (acquired by The Linde Group) in a number of senior business development and project management positions including Business Development Director, Vice President of Global Accounts, Global Vice President of BOC Process Systems, and Global Program Leader.”
