Defined by innovation and an undercurrent of rich history, from our leading companies and cutting edge startups to our government and top tier colleges, Boston inspires. This photo series aims to capture it. Enjoy!

Have you had the opportunity to check out the art on display at the MBTA’s Porter Square Station in Cambridge? The station is known for its incredibly lengthy and steep escalators, and the hanging banner art from the ceilings will help you enjoy your time riding those. Going down into the subway the banners display old train trolleys, and going up the backside of the banners feature a promise of blue sky (well, not so blue today).

These photos were taken by Dan Vidal, co-founder of ArtVenue here in Boston, a startup that is empowering local artists with technology. He is my new favorite person to follow on Twitter, as he shares great photos of all the art he comes across while venturing around the city.
