Be the Change

Boston based Be the Change, a nonprofit that creates national issue based campaigns by organizing coalitions of non-profits, social entrepreneurs, policymakers, private sector, academia and citizens, has named Kevin Jennings as President & CEO in effect July 25th. From the release:

Mr. Jennings currently serves as Assistant Deputy Secretary in the U.S. Department of Education, where he heads the department’s Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, a position to which he was appointed by President Obama in 2009. Prior to his time in the Administration, Mr. Jennings founded and led the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, or GLSEN, the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Prior to his time at GLSEN, Mr. Jennings taught high school history in Providence, Rhode Island andConcord, Massachusetts and served as faculty advisor to the nation’s first Gay-Straight Alliance student club.”

Demandware

Burlington based Demandware, a leading global leader e-commerce provider, has appointed Nicholas Camelio as VP of Human Resources. From the release:

Prior to joining Demandware, Camelio served as senior vice president, human resources at Salary.com, a leading SaaS provider of talent management and compensation software and solutions. There he led the company’s strategic HR initiatives and programs, and developed a world-class learning and development function for the firm, as well as cutting edge compensation and employee reward programs. Prior to joining Salary.com, Camelio served as vice president of human resources at BrassRing Inc., a leading SaaS software provider in the Human Capital Management (HCM) space. Prior to this, Camelio was head of HR for the Northeast Region of Vignette Corporation, an enterprise software company. Camelio has also held senior HR positions at IBM and Lotus Development Corporation.”

e-Dialog

Burlington based e-Dialog, an integrated digital marketing solutions provider under the GSI Commerce (Nasdaq: GSIC) Global Marketing Services division, has appointed Christian Wright as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). From the release:

Wright joins e-Dialog from Alterian, a respected provider of cross-channel customer engagement solutions, where he served as chief solutions officer, managed services. During his tenure at Alterian, Wright led the design and development of the company’s on-demand solutions. Prior to Alterian, he was CTO and SVP of Merkle’s Enterprise Technology Group, where he led technical innovation and solution design.”

Luminus Devices

Billerica based Luminus Devices, developer and manufacturer of next generation big chip LEDs, has appointed Charles F. Jerabek to its Board of Directors. From the release:

Mr. Jerabek was named Vice-Chairman of Osram Sylvania in 2009, having previously served as president and CEO. Jerabek first joined the company in 1973. He serves on the executive committee of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association board of governors and is the immediate past chairman. He has also been a board member for the Associated Industries of Massachusetts and President of the Exeter, NH Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the boards of several companies, including: The United Ways of New England. He is also a trustee of Endicott College.”

Neolane

Newton based Neolane, provider of conversational marketing technology, has appointed Brian Serino as VP Sales for North America. From the release:

“While working at Unica for eight years, Serino served in multiple senior sales management positions that included vice president of sales for the Eastern U.S. and vice president, North American sales. While with the company, he doubled the size of the sales team, drove a ten-fold increase in revenue, and supported the company’s successful IPO and eventual acquisition by IBM. Previously, as vice president of North American sales at Entigo, Serino was instrumental in reengineering the company to become more product-centric while initiating the development of the sales force and consulting organization, and developing key channel partnerships. Earlier in his career, Serino also held senior sales leadership positions at Vitria Technology and Bay State Computer.”

Viridity

Burlington based Viridity Software, a leading provider of data center infrastructure management software, has appointed Patrick Kelly as VP of North American Sales. From the release:

With over 16 years of experience, Patrick Kelly is a highly seasoned sales executive who brings tremendous team building capability and sales energy to Viridity Software.  Prior to joining Viridity, Kelly served as Vice President of Sales, Senior Advisor, CA Technologies responsible for re-building the Canadian Infrastructure Management Business Unit from the ground-up.  Prior to CA, Patrick held the position of Director of Sales, Micromuse (acquired by IBM Tivoli) where he was responsible for Sales in the Americas to the Telco segment.”

Visible Measures

Boston based Visible Measures, a third-party media measurement firm for online video advertisers and publishers, has appointed Seraj Bharwani as Chief Analytics Officer and Lynne Lipinsky as VP Finance. From the release:

As part of his new role, Bharwani is responsible for extracting online video advertising insights from the patented Visible Measures platform and Viral Reach Database™ and educating the market on industry trends and best practices. … Prior to joining Visible Measures, Lipinsky served as Vice President of Finance of ScanScout, which was acquired by Tremor Media in 2010, and led the vision and growth of its financial operations. Before ScanScout, Lipinsky served as the Corporate General Manager & Director of Finance at ILOG, formerly Logic Tools, where she helped lead the financial strategy for the business pre and post-acquisition. Before ILOG, she served as Senior Manager of Mergers and Acquisition at Macromedia, formerly Allaire, developing and implementing processes that contributed to its growth.”
