Boston-based Currensee, a next-generation platform for foreign exchange currency trading (Forex trading), just released impressive growth numbers. Since launching their Trade Leaders program back in October, $12 million in assets have been invested by 400 participants. This has resulted in a whopping $6 billion in volume traded through the Currensee platform — a number that is up 50% since mid-April.

Forex is a $4 trillion per day market, strewn with complexities that make it difficult for your average trader to profit in the fast moving markets. In fact, not even a third of Forex traders actually make a profit when trading in these markets. Currensee’s Trade Leaders Investment Program results in more success because those who lack the know-how or time can automatically replicate currency trades based on the trades being made by the world’s most successful Forex traders.

On average 3,500 trades are executed each day on Currensee, and you can see how their returns compare below:

According to the company, the average investment account size for individual investors is over $25,000. These investors span the globe thanks to Currensee’s support of English, Chinese, French, Italian and Spanish, and come from over 50 countries.

What’s most telling in Currensee’s release of growth numbers today: Nearly half of this growth in assets in the last 60 days have come from investors depositing additional capital because of the success and profits they saw with their first investments.

“The Trade Leaders Investment Program has opened the world currency market to all types of investors,” said Dave Lemont, Currensee CEO. “What’s clear is that the program’s simple and transparent structure, along with consistent performance and risk management, is an exciting alternative to investors everywhere who are looking for diversification and new investment options. The assets under management growth is impressive and speaks to the caliber of Trade Leaders along with success our investors are seeing in the program.”

Currensee was founded in 2008 and has raised $16.8M to date, most recently $4 million Series C funding in Apri to expand its tools and go global.

Congrats to the Currensee team on all the success!
