With a broken heart, people often turn to a variety of sources to cheer themselves up: best friends, exes, pints of ice cream, vodka. This poor dude decided to take his pain to City Hall — only to be met with a closed door.

Using the Citizens Connect app, he sent the submitted the following message:

Awww, that sad face is really the icing on the cake. My heart goes out to this guy, but I kind of agree with the city on this one. That photo is kind of freaky and, not to mention, unidentifiable. If that’s what a broken heart looks like, well, I’ll try to avoid it.

While Citizens Connect is truly a great app for helping the city quickly respond to graffiti, potholes and other ordinance violations, we’ve seen some pretty hilarious submissions. Earlier this month, a concerned citizen reported Pawngo for littering Copley Square with Butterfingers in the name of Wes Welker and the company was fined $1,000. Still, nothing tops the time someone tried to report an ox as graffiti using Citizens Connect. Keep up the good work, Boston.
