Happy Friday everyone. It’s been business as usual in Boston over the past week. The biggest headlines are coming out of Cupertino as the iPhone 5 hits retail shelves today. With the latest iPhone comes Apple’s latest operating system, iOS 6. Coming on the heels of the iPhone were announcements by Samsung, RIM, Microsoft and HTC all with smartphones of their own. But much as we loving reporting on revolutionary smartphones on the west coast, there’s also plenty happening in The Hub. As always, a number of Boston startups are pulling in millions in venture capital funding, like UberSense and Daily Grommet. It was also Boston’s birthday but not to be outshined was iRobot who celebrated their mind-of-its-own vacuum Roomba’s birthday too. Also underway in the Greater Boston startup realm is the Lean Startup Challenge. Keep an eye out for the 20 prospects vying for $35K. Keep another eye out for the collaborative efforts of Brightcove and Kinvey. Not interested? Don’t worry, there’s plenty more. We hope you enjoy the 23 business headlines in this week’s wrap and as always, have a great weekend.
