The shooting comes on the heels of  another in Washington D.C. last week where an 18-year-old student at Coolidge High School in Northwest D.C. was shot on school property by a fellow student on Wednesday.

Still fresh in the minds of the American public are the notorious shootings in Aurora, CO where James Homes allegedly opened fire in a movie theater during the premier of The Dark Knight Rises and killed 12.

Shortly after the Aurora Shooting was another in Wisconsin where a man opened fire in a Sihk temple.
