Attivio Raises $34 Million in First Round of Outside Funding

Attivio, the data intelligence company based in Newton, has raised its first round of outside funding, according to Scott Kirsner at The Boston Globe. The $34 million round is being led by Oak Investment Partners and will go primarily toward sales and marketing. Attivio’s main product is a software offering called the Active Intelligence Engine that aims to make useful disparate bits of data that have previously been spread out throughout an organization.
