Halloween is approaching fast, and this year the streets will be filled with trick-or-treaters accompanied by their smartphones. In fact, a study from Dara Kerr of CNet says that 83% of middle-schoolers, 39% of fifth graders, and 20% of third-graders have a mobile device. Before you send your child off to stock up on sugary treats, take a look at these five mobile apps for trick-or-treating:

SecuraFone – FREE: The app will allow parents to see where their child is from their phone, and also helps children make an emergency call to their parents with a quick swipe

Trick or Treating – $0.99: Navigation app that will help you create your trick-or-treating route

Flashlight – FREE: The Flashlight app uses the phone’s light to guide you while you’re trick-or-treating

Family GPS Tracker and Safety – FREE: Allows parents to track their children’s location at any time, and also shows sex offenders and other safety concerns in the area

Free Halloween Sounds Pro- FREE: Scare trick-or-treaters or friends with these spooky Halloween sounds
