American Inno is also owned by the American City Business Journals, making us a sister publication to the prestigious Charlotte Business Journal.
Charlotte Inno will be led by staff writer and editor Courtney Gabrielson and General Manager Juan Garzón, who previously ran StartCharlotte, the city’s one-stop-shop for startup news and resources. Inno aims to help strengthen Charlotte’s ecosystem through four core products — a fun, twice-a-week newsletter — sign up for The Beat! — authoritative, insightful and original editorial, social, engaging events and meetups, and comprehensive directories and data (take a tour of our startup, careers and events directories now).

And, along with daily news and analysis that will help those in the community stay informed and plugged in, Inno will also serve as an onboarding tool for people and businesses that are new to the ecosystem. Inno’s Guides — you check out our first one here — are designed to offer comprehensive looks at resources that are available to the community, from accelerators to incubators, VCs to angels, and beyond. If it’s local and innovative, it’ll be in Charlotte Inno.
We also have several directories to help you further navigate and discover this burgeoning ecosystem. On the Inno Pages, you’ll be able to filter through hundreds of local startups by funding, stage, size, industry and more. And on the Events and Careers directories, you can browse through upcoming events and recent job postings respectively.
