The average cost of tuition for a school in DC over the course of 4 years is almost $150,000.  That’s a lot of money.  Ever wondered what else you could’ve spent all that tuition money on?  Here’s a list of 7 things you could’ve bought instead.

1. Sarah Palin’s 2008 campaign wardrobe (yes, she really spent that much!)

According to Politico , Palin dropped $150,000 on wardrobe and accessories for herself and her family during the 2008 campaign.  Now that’s a lot of suits and flag pins.

2. The world’s most expensive car wash

You could buy a brand new luxury sports car for the price of this car wash!   The Ultimate Shine, located in Scotland, says that they’ll work on the car “for as long as it takes” until it’s perfect.  At that price, it better be perfect.

3. A month long stay for two at the Poseidon Underwater Resort

If an aquarium trip just isn’t cutting it for you anymore and you feel the need to literally sleep with the fish, then this resort is the place for you.  At least this price includes the cost of your food and daily expeditions.

4.  A speech from George W. Bush…plus the cost of flying him there in a private jet

Getting this former President to speak is pretty pricey according to the Dallas Morning News reports.  Not only could you get a formal education for the cost of one speech, but that doesn’t even include his travel cost, which you’re expected to pick up the tab for.  That’s a lot of money to spend on someone that thought Africa was a nation…

5. Rent Leonardo DiCaprio’s Malibu home for one month

If you’re looking to upgrade your house or apartment, or are in need of a Malibu vacation home, you might want to check out Leo’s $6 million renovated home that you can now rent.  If you think you might need a little help splitting the cost of rent, it has at least 7 bedrooms in 3 separate buildings, so there’s plenty of space for you and just about everyone you know.

6. The world’s most expensive pool cue

Named the Intimidator, this pool cue looks like it could double as a weapon from the Middle Ages.  Weighing in at 9.5 pounds, with inlaid gold and a Genuine Italian Obsidian Gemstone Sphere, this might make for better wall art than for a usable pool cue.

7. Take yourself and 5 friends to enjoy The Frrrozen Haute Chocolate ice cream sundae

If a $2 cone isn’t classy enough for you and your gals, then you can always try this high end dessert.  Not only does it include edible gold, but it also comes with a bracelet and spoon made of gold and diamonds that you get to keep– so there’s no need to hit up Tiffany’s when you’ve finished your treat.
