Interns at the TWC Washington Bureau will be responsible for assisting with monitoring of breaking news, researching and compiling data for stories, developing contacts, and writing and observing the editing process. Interns will have opportunities to go out in the field on shoots, as well as to assist with newsroom live shots and on-set interviews. Interns will develop knowledge and experience in broadcast news gathering, bureau operations, and field production.

Requirements: 
 – Receive academic credits 
 – Strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication skills, leadership and organizational abilities. 
 – Maintain a professional appearance, be enthusiastic, and have a demonstrated interest in journalism and news. 
 – Be able to commit to 16-24 hours per week.
 – This is an UNPAID INTERNSHIP.

Coursework or previous internship experience in communications, journalism or related field is preferred.
