Dance music has taken the 18-24 crowd by storm and brands are actively seeking ways to cash in on EDM culture. Last week, SFX Entertainment, Robert Sillerman’s( the guy who formed promo behemoth Live Nation) latest brainchild went to IPO in dance music’s first public offering. With Avicii being arguably the biggest star in the scene, it’s no surprise big brands want a piece of him. Ralph Lauren made the house music star the face of their Denim & Supply line and the fashion house has subtly plastered branding all over his video for ‘Wake Me Up’. We also spotted product placement for Sony, Ultra Music Festival, and his own newly released album, True

Ralph Lauren placed their Denim & Supply logo within the video that has seen nearly 120 million views.

Next up electronics giant, Sony, gets involved with a plug for their new phone, Xperia. The video’s star uses the phone to take a picture and the YouTube description also plugged the ‘Xperia Lounge’ app for video content.

Sony gets some exposure for their new smartphone.

This next one is a bit of a stretch but it seems like Ultra Music Festival gets a lot of brand exposure. Their logo appears multiple times throughout the video and scenes are set at the festival.

One of dance music’s biggest events gets some screen time in front of the 115 million viewers of the video.

From start to finish, Avicii’s latest album art is all over the video. We didn’t count, but the triangular logo appears at least 50+ times.

The logo is tattooed on nearly everyone that appears in the video.

Watch the video for yourself and see if you can spot anything else.

With music sales declining without any sign of stopping, Avicii’s management has figured out a creative way to leverage his success into more dollars outside of touring.
