I’m not the biggest fan of below freezing temperatures, but I do enjoy the awesome ice skating rinks in DC. I can’t quite skate like this couple, but I always give it my best…

This winter there are a few top ice skating choices in conveniently located areas – check out you options:

Washington Harbour (Georgetown Waterfont)

3050 K Street NW

The Georgetown Waterfront boasts happy hours, brunching or yachting during the warmer months and now ice skating during the winter. The new and improved waterfront features more than just delicious dining including ice skating for about $15 if you need to rent the blades.

National Sculpture Garden

7th & Constitution NW

Friday nights each summer are dedicated to Jazz in the Park, while in the winter months the space provides the most notorious DC ice skating option for all ages. Students cough up just $7 and rentals are only $3.

The Canal Park ice skating rink (2nd & M Street SE) is opening late this year, hopefully as early as mid-December. You can learn more about that and other options around the area here.
