Young America, a new non-profit that’s providing students with the resources they need to mobilize around the issues that affect us and equiping them with the tools they need to succeed. 

Responsibilities: 

– Promote Young America and its affiliated website, GenFKD, on campus
– Market on campus and recruit a street team of volunters to remain engaged in activities on campus as well as online by reading commenting, and sharing on Young America/GenFKD websites, Facebook, twitter, and other social media outlets 
– Assist in organizing campus events and keep volunteers informed, acitve, and engaged
– Liaise regularly with staff to pinpoint messaging 

Requirements:

– Motivated, outgoing, and approachable personality 
– Actively enrolled sophomore or junior at the University of Virginia 
– Economics, Business, or Political Science major or minor is an asset, but not required 
– Social Media savvy and active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
– Ability to commit 5-10 hours per week
