What a night!
An electric crowd of visionary and trailblazing companies and individuals descended on the The Howard Theatre for the second annual 50 on Fire awards and the celebration was hotter than ever. If you’re just catching up now, you missed out on one amazing event but you can run through all of the fun photos below.
Leading up to the event, InTheCapital has covered the year’s disruptive innovators across 9 industries. We opened up nominations to our readers and received over 1,500 submissions. In October these nominations were narrowed down to 150 white hot finalists. Check them out here.
The finalists participated in a 3-day photo shoot in early November. Their photos were featured at the event last night and will be posted on InTheCapital soon. From there, industry-specific panels of judges (composed of community leaders, past winners, and industry experts) reviewed the finalists and voted for their top picks.
Last night, we brought together the most incredible forces leading D.C. innovation to celebrate the winners. It was not your traditional, stodgy awards ceremony, 50 on Fire winners are announced through a seriously high octane video during the event. That video will be posted for all to see and share too.
Here is the list of 50 on Fire winners setting the District on fire. Congratulations!
