Sony has been making waves in the virtual reality world, announcing in March that it will release its VR headset Project Morpheus sometime in early 2016. Morpheus will be a supplement to the Playstation Move component of the PS4, and with 22.3 million PS4 units already sold, the market potential for the headset seems substantial.

Morpheus will be in competition with the Oculus Rift, one of the other big names in VR technology. So far, head to head testing has produced no clear-cut winner, but users tend to prefer the sound and head tracking in Morpheus and the versatility of the Rift.

Having millions of PS4 users already out there will certainly be a plus for Sony, however, the price of the Morpheus supplement, estimated at around $300 in addition to the PS4 hardware, will likely be similar to the Rift, which requires a PC to operate.

So with an added $300 price tag, PS4 users will need some convincing that the headset is a worthwhile investment. A big factor in this decision will be the games that are available on the platform, and developers have begun announcing their Morpheus-compatible titles.

Here are some of the most exciting games that will be available for Project Morpheus:

1. Eve: Valkyrie

Developer: CCP Games, Release Date: TBA
Space-themed games are an exciting opportunity in VR- most people of my generation (and earlier ones) have dreamed of sitting in the cockpit with Han Solo or Captain James T. Kirk. With Eve: Valkyrie, you get to do just that, manning your own personal spacecraft, exploring the world of outer space and destroying enemies with advanced laser weaponry. The Morpheus tech provides the added bonus of stunning 360-degree visuals of stunning stars, planets and other war crafts.

2. Gnog

Developer: Ko-op, Release Date: TBA 2016
Announced on Thursday, Gnog is the latest and may be the weirdest in Morpheus-compatible games. Created by indie game developer Ko-op, Gnog is a colorful, trippy puzzle game about tiny worlds hidden inside monster heads. It is a bit of a departure from the predominantly action-driven applications of VR, and shows the ability of the technology to capture the beauty and color of new worlds. It comes only a couple days after the release of ‘Henry,’ a similarly colorful, family friendly animated film developed for the Oculus Rift by Oculus Story Studio.

3. ARK: Survival Evolved

Developer: Studio Wildcard, Release Date: June 2016
This one is just pure hedonism. In this first person adventure game, you wake up on the beach of a dinosaur-infested island. How will you spend your time? Well, in addition to the menial survival tasks of foraging for food and finding shelter, you not only get to hunt dinosaurs with spears and bow and arrows, but you get to ride them. That’s right, you can actually ride on the back of a velociraptor, which must be one of the coolest options provided by any video game ever.

4. Among the Sleep

Developer: Krillbite Studio, Release Date: TBA
Survival horror games like Among the Sleep are pretty much made for VR. In this thriller, you get to live the supernatural nightmare of a two-year-old child, minus the actual danger and potential for death. With the accompaniment of haunting audio from superb speakers, you’ll be navigating spooky corridors to evade ghosts and running into jump scares made all the more real by Morpheus’s motion capture.

5. The Deep

Developer: SCE London Studio, Release Date: TBA 2016
Last but not least is The Deep, a sure favorite among deep-sea enthusiasts. In The Deep, you play a diver thrown in to the most treacherous of waters and come face to face with toothy sharks, glowing jellyfish and other aquatic beasts. With VR, you get cool underwater panoramic views that make you feel like you’ve taken the dangerous plunge yourself.
