Treat Yo’ Self is an ongoing BostInno series that highlights a deal in the city where you can indulge without suffering financial ruin. Check back each Tuesday for a new way to pretend you’re rich – we’ll even provide the most appropriate scenario to accompany the bargains.

Who: Your friend who insists that, here in Boston, she’s not soaking up enough “culture.” Apparently your suggestions to see the new Transformers movie starring Marky Mark this past weekend didn’t qualify as her idea of “culture.”

What: A $40 three course prix-fixe menu for those who attend the North End Music and Performing Arts Center’s Summer Concert Series at Christopher Columbus Park. The prix-fixe menu includes dishes like prosciutto wrapped figs, homemade meatballs, corn raviolini and white chocolate bread pudding.

When: The free concerts run every Thursday night from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the park for the entire month of July with different featured artists for each show. The $40 dinner menu will be served each Thursday starting July 10, with the special menu available before and after the show, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and again from 8 to 10 p.m.

Where: Prezza, the Old World Italian restaurant led by Chef Anthony Caturano, located at 24 Fleet Street in the North End.

Why: Dinner and a show is a classic pastime, and this version gets you a great deal on an Italian North End dinner followed by a local performance in the park. Your friend who’s always griping about her lack of culture will definitely be appeased, and you’ll feel like you’re truly taking advantage of the city’s summertime events.

How: Head over after work this Thursday for either an early or late dinner, plus the outdoor concert. Afterwards, cab home together, the old fashioned way. It may sound more glamorous in your head, but uberX didn’t exist in the Golden Age.
