Everyone may be thinking about basketball right now after news broke yesterday that Lebron James would be returning home to the Cleveland Cavaliers, but let us not forget Boston’s favorite pastime: baseball. OK, the Red Sox may have a struggling season so far this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy a special event at Fenway Park this weekend.

The Ninth Annual Futures at Fenway game returns this Sunday, July 13, for an afternoon of baseball’s up and comers, family activities and a special screening of “Field of Dreams” at the park. The Boston Red Sox Single-A affiliate Lowell Spinners will be taking on the Cleveland Indians Single-A affiliate Mahoning Valley Scrappers during the game, which will start at 3:30 p.m. The gates, though, will open at 2 p.m. for “Bark in the Park”: After a successful first run last year, families are invited to bring their dogs to Fenway for a pre-game get together. To bring your dog to the event, you must fill out a waiver and bring it with you to the park.

The movie screening will begin 30 minutes after the game ends at Fenway, in celebration of the film’s 25th anniversary. Tickets are $15, or $20 for those bringing dogs.
