Barbie may be turning 55 this year, but her latest look – a white ponytail – could make you think she’s even older. No, Mattel isn’t releasing a “Granny Barbie.” Rather, designer Karl Lagerfeld is collaborating with the toymaker to release a doll in his likeness this fall.

Karl is no stranger to non-fashion collaborations. You may recall his Diet Coke bottle designs from a few years back, and in 2017 he plans to open a hotel in Macau, China.

Barbie Lagerfeld” will be part of the Collector Series, donning the designer’s signature getup: a black blazer, a white high-collared shirt, black skinny jeans, a necktie, sunglasses, booties, and, from the looks of the illustration, mini fingerless gloves. No word yet on when or where she will launch, but I’m sure countless collectors (and eBay resellers) will be at the ready to buy this petite version of Karl.
