It’s no secret that Food Network star, Guy Fieri, has been busy eating his way through Boston as of late. And now it looks as though another Boston eatery will be making an appearance on his popular Food Network show. According to Boston Restaurant Talk, South End restaurant, Blunch, will be featured on tonight’s episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.”

Blunch, a sandwich shop famous for their breakfast-lunch hybrid sandwich menu (hence: blunch), has been a South End mainstay for quite a while. But after tonight, Boston residents won’t be the only ones who know about this neighborhood gem’s “eggwiches” and “bagelwiches”.

The Boston Globe noted that tonight’s episode on “Blunch’s pressed sandwiches airs July 18 at 10 p.m. on the Food Network.” The article also reveals more about the upcoming episode, noting that owner, Nikki Christo, “made two popular pressed sandwiches, The Provencal, with goat cheese and an unusual nut pesto, and The Bird, roast chicken with artichoke aioli” for Guy Fieri.

Nikki Christo tweeted out her appreciation for the show and their crew earlier in June:

And you can bet that Blunch will be feeling the full Guy Fieri effect soon after tonight’s airing. According to the Boston Globe, Christo has “been warned by the Food Network that she’ll need to hire extra staff to hand the crowds.” But this should come as no surprise.

Lines seem to follow the Food Network star’s Boston restaurant adventures, which have included Cutty’s in Brookline, Italian Express Pizzeria, and many more. If you want to watch, tune in to the Food Network tonight at 10 p.m. to see Boston’s own Blunch restaurant make its TV debut.
