The Rue La La team is getting a new executive: The Boston-based e-commerce brand announced last week that Lisa Rhodes would be joining the company as president and chief merchandising officer.

According to Womens Wear Daily, Rhodes has worked in the retail realm for 30 years, holding positions at various companies. Most notably, Rhodes was the CEO of Dots LLC, a now-defunct fashion chain; the senior vice president of apparel at Wal-Mart; and the executive vice president,` chief merchandising officer at clothing retail chain Maurices.

Rue La La, with a New York office that complements its Boston headquarters, currently employs more than 600 team members. Recently, more changes occurred within the company when former content editor Lindsay Lambert was named managing editor of Coastal Living, and former Racked Boston Editor Susie Kostaras joined the Rue team.

Rhodes, who in her role will oversee the merchandising and planning departments, will report to Steve Davis, Rue La La’s CEO since Ben Fischman left in 2013. Davis formerly acted as president before being named CEO. Currently, Rue La La is a private company.
