Here in Boston, there’s no denying that most of us are either running on Dunkin’ or looking to other local coffee shop’s for our caffeine fix. After all, coffee is a morning necessity, afternoon pick-me-up and sometimes, even part of an evening dessert. And with our busy lives, it’s nice that Boston also happens to have quite a few coffeehouse retreats in the city.

These coffeehouses often provide us with comfy couches, soothing music, and of course, delicious coffee drinks. Fortunately for us, our city is home to two of the best coffee shops in America, according to The Daily Meal.

Both Render Coffee and Pavement Coffeehouse made the websites list of “America’s 50 Best Coffee Shops” and for good reason. Local favorite, Pavement Coffeehouse (below), was listed as a top 20 coffee shop in the U.S.

The site states, “It’s no wonder comfy yet cool Pavement was named one of the ‘Top 10 Coolest Cafes in America’ by Travel and Leisure. Each of its four locations strives to be a haven for coffee lovers of all kinds.”

A little further down on the list is Render Coffee (below). At number 43, the coffee house has quickly become a South End favorite. When describing Render Coffee, The Daily Meal quotes Bill Walsh of The Pure Coffee Blog, stating ““it seems Bostonians have grown to love craft coffee almost as much as they love their Red Sox (almost). Render is a great establishment amongst the exploding Boston coffee scene, serving up Counter Culture and some guest roasters with finesse.”
