It’s almost Friday, and it’s time to make those weekend plans. No, couch surfing and Netflix scrolling aren’t acceptable plans. It’s summertime, so live a little won’t ya? Otherwise you might miss out on the Boston Seafood Festival, free burgers from our favorite famous family, and a lawn party for the ages. Break a leg!

Friday

Ministry of Supply LABS Launch Party – 5 to 8 p.m. – Ministry of Supply H1 – Head to the Ministry of Supply pop up brick and mortar this Friday night for a party in celebration of their LABS launch. LABS is the local apparel company’s way to release early iterations of new products to test on the market. There will be cocktails and food at the party.

First Annual Salsa Squared Celebration – 7 to 10 p.m. – Harvard Square – Brattle Plaza will be taken over by salsas and Latin music this Friday, with the first Salsa Squared Celebration. Enjoy samples of salsa and a Latin dance party with local restaurants and mocktails. The event is free.

Saturday

FIGMENT Boston – Saturday and Sunday – Rose Kennedy Greenway – In its fifth year, FIGMENT is returning to Boston to celebrate participatory art and all things creative on the Greenway, which will be transformed in to a large scale collaborative artwork. The FIGMENT hours are 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Boston Summer Arts Weekend – Saturday and Sunday – Copley Square – Sponsored by the Boston Globe, the Summer Arts Weekend brings both national and local performers, like the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Los Lobos, to Copley Square for a weekend of music and dancing. Local vendors will be on site for food and drinks. The event is free to attend.

Google Glass in Boston – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. –  The Cyclorama – Google Glass is on tour to give people a test run of the newest technology. Try the glasses, chat with the team and enjoy refreshments this Saturday before Google Glass hits the mainstream. RSVP in advance.

The Great Boston Beer Marathon – 10 a.m. – House of Blues – This isn’t a pub crawl, it’s a marathon. Join the Boston Beer Marathon this Saturday for the ninth year in a row and join thousands of participants as you hop to 26 different bars in the Fenway area. GA tickets are $30, and registration starts at 10 a.m. at House of Blues.

Wahlburgers on Wheels – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Faneuil Hall – Wahlburgers is going on a food truck tour to promote the second season of the reality show of the same name, and they’re kicking things off right here in Boston. Head to Faneuil Hall to score free burgers, tots, and maybe even a Marky Mark sighting (no promises).

Berklee Music Fest and Bocce – 1 p.m. – Georges Island – Take the ferry over to Georges Island for a free outdoor Berklee concert and lawn games like bocce.

Latin Street Food Patio Party – 1 to 4 p.m. – Tico – Chef Michael Schlow is throwing a patio party at Tico this Saturday, with all you can Latin street food like sausages, empanadas, make your own Bloody Marys, and plenty of tequila. Tickets are $35.

Sunday

Third Annual Boston Seafood Festival – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Boston Fish Pier – It’s summer in Boston, and that means seafood galore. This mantra will peak this Sunday at the Boston Seafood Festival, a celebration of all foods from under the sea. There will be chef demonstrations, discussions surrounding nutrition and sustainability, seafood from Boston’s best chefs, an oyster shucking contest and more. This year is extra special, as they’re celebrating the 100th anniversary of the historic Fish Pier. Tickets are $10 and available now.

SomerStreets: Seize the Summer – 12 to 4 p.m. – Highland Avenue between Walnut and Lowell Streets – The Somerville Arts Council is shutting down Highland Ave this Sunday for SomerStreets, a celebration that allows guests to bike, walk and dance in the street with activities like pony rides, a crafts fair, and games. Free to attend.

Cambridge Jazz Festival – 12 to 6 p.m. – University Park Commons – Head to the park on Sidney Street for the Cambridge Jazz Festival, an afternoon of free, live jazz music outdoors in support of music education.

Americana-Rama Patio Dinner – 3 p.m. – The Sinclair – As part of The Sinclair’s summer patio dinner series, the Amercana-Rama Patio Dinner is happening this Sunday. Head to the Harvard Square rooftop patio for a barbecue inspired menu and drinks from Deep Eddy. Make a reservation by calling 617-547-5200.

Roaring Twenties Lawn Party – 3 to 8 p.m. – Crane Estate at Castle Hill – Boston Swing Central and the Trustees of the Reservation invite you to join them at the Crane Estate for a party thats a throwback to the 1920s. Get your best flapper dress and dapper suit on and head over for music, dancing, lawn game, picnicking and more. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the gate.

Root Beer Dinner – 6 p.m. – Tryst – This isn’t your average beer dinner. Tryst has teamed with Tower Root Beer for a multicourse dinner celebrating the 100-year-old classic soda. Tickets are $34 per person.
