Monday

Booze Époque Tiki Night – 11 p.m. – Wink and Nod – Wink and Nod’s Monday night Tiki series continues with mixologists Harmony Dawn and Meaghan Q. Sinclair of Booze Époque, who will be bringing their skills to the bar for a boozy night. No cover.

Catch and Cook a Keeper with Captain Paul and Chef Mark Goldberg – August 4 & 5 – BCAE – This two-part BCAE class will take you aboard Captain Paul’s Reel Pursuits Vessel, where you’ll catch your dinner before learning how to bone, filet and cook it properly in the BCAE kitchen. The class will take place on Monday from 5:45 to 9 p.m. at the Constitution Marina in Charlestown and continue on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at BCAE. Registration is $100 for non-members.

Tuesday

‘The Giver’ Color Party – 2 to 4 p.m. – Canal Park at CambridgeSide Galleria – Two stars from the upcoming film ‘The Giver,’ Brenton Thwaites and Odeya Rush, will be at Canal Park at CambridgeSide Galleria for a green-themed party. Show up in green and enjoy entertainment, activities and refreshments as well as a chance for autographs. Free to attend.

National Oyster Day at Social – 4 to 8 p.m. – Social Restaurant and Bar – Tuesday, August 5, is National Oyster Day, and Social Restaurant and Bar in Newton is celebrating with $1 oysters from 4 to 8 p.m. Get after it!

Wednesday

Hell’s Kitchen Open Call – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts – Think you have what it takes to cook in Chef Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen? Open call auditions for the upcoming season of ‘Hell’s Kitchen’ are coming to Boston this Wednesday. Complete the online application before arriving at the audition.

Ales for ALS Open Tap – 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Samuel Adams Boston Brewery – Join Samuel Adams this Wednesday for the first of four Open Tap nights coming up this month. For $20, guests will get a full pint of the featured beer, samples and a food truck meal. All proceeds will benefit the ALS Therapy Development Institute.

#DogsofYelp Photo Contest Kick Off –  5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – TAMO Terrace at the Seaport Hotel – Got a dog who you think should be featured in the “Dogs of Yelp” photo calendar? Then bring him or her to the #DogsofYelp kick off party, hosted by Canines and Cocktails, where you’ll receive a Yelp doggie bandana. Submit a photo, or have one taken during the event, of your dog wearing the bandana before September 6 to be considered for the calendar. At the event, you’ll enjoy cocktails while your pup enjoys organic doggie treats. Free to attend.

Healthy Summer Snacks and Sides – 6 to 9 p.m. – BCAE – Join chef and nutritionist Leah Dickerson for a class that shows you how to turn fruits and vegetables into delicious and exciting snack and side dish alternatives. Registration is $60 for non-members.

Thursday

Boston Songwriter and Musician Hangout – 6:30 p.m. – The Red Room at Cafe 939 – If you’re a local songwriter or musician, head to The Red Room this Thursday to meet and mingle with likeminded folks and potential future collaborators. Presented by MusicTown and the recently launched SongwriterLink, a site that connects songwriters with musicians, the night will include mingling, open jam sessions and more.

Downtown Week – August 7 to 13 – Multiple Locations – Presented by Summer on the Waterfront, Downtown Week consists of fun events all over Downtown Boston. From Extreme Croquet on Thursday night to a Wharf Festival on Saturday, there’s plenty to do in the city in honor of this summertime celebration.

BostInno’s BostonFest – 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. – Seaport World Trade Center – Join BostInno this Thursday at the Seaport World Trade Center, for the third annual BostonFest summer party.
