Converse‘s current campaign, “What Would Sneakers Do,” which plays off the idea that there are things shoes wouldn’t do that sneakers would – stay with us – is hitting the road and offering Bostonians impromptu rides throughout town.

The Boston-based shoe company, which is currently building out its new headquarters in the city, has partnered with local artist Tristan Eaton to create a custom pedicab, known as a Gig-Shaw, that they’ll be peddling around the city throughout the afternoon and into the evening today only, inviting spontaneous people to hop in and take a ride to an unknown location. That’s where you come in.

Converse wants to know who in Boston is “sneaker” enough (rather than “shoe,” remember) to change their plans and prior destination and accept a ride. If you are, in fact, sneaker enough, you’ll get the ultimate VIP experience at tonight’s Converse Rubber Tracks Live concert, happening at The Sinclair. The tour, featuring High on Fire, is kicking off tonight at the Cambridge venue, and you can be a VIP guest if you encounter the Gig-Shaw and choose to take a ride. If you do, you’ll receive VIP tickets as well as free Converse product (keep your fingers crossed for free Chuck Taylors).

So if you find yourself in the area surrounding The Sinclair, which is located on Church Street in Harvard Square, look out for the Converse pedicab, pictured above. The contraption can be seen making its rounds hours before the show, and if you catch a ride, you have some free perks coming your way.

The only question is: Are you sneaker enough?
