Fashion bloggers, lifestyle professionals and boutique owners all have one thing in common: They have personal style down to a T. But did you ever wonder what the wardrobe behind the impeccably well-dressed looks like? Each week, we’ll go inside the closets of these stylish Bostonians to find out how they put together the well-crafted appearance.

This week, we’re going inside the coveted closet of Boston blogger Allie Lochiatto, who runs the blog Allie Wears. You might recognize her name; she’s published guest posts on BostInno before. And while Lochiatto was blogging, business as usual, this summer, she was signed on to be a model for Maggie, Inc., to bring her classic look to the modeling agency’s photo shoots.

Get a glimpse of her style persona in the questions below, before clicking through the slideshow for some serious closet envy.

How would you describe your personal style?

I describe my personal style as creative. I dress for myself and wear what I want, plain and simple. One day I could be roaming around in a bohemian maxi with gladiator sandals and milkmaid braids, and the next I could be rocking destroyed boyfriend jeans with a sheer silk tank and sky high heels. That’s what I love about fashion, it’s unique and constantly evolving. Styles change, trends come and go, but what makes you stand out from the rest is wearing what you want, when you want to. I don’t follow any rules in fashion and love taking chances. Life is more fun that way, no? But before you wear anything, buy a big box of confidence, because confidence carries an outfit more than you know.

Where do you love to shop?

I really shop anywhere (I’m a female!) but the stores that never disappoint would have to be Zara, H&M, Urban Outfitters, and Free People. Recently, I have been finding awesome designer steals at TJ Maxx and have been visiting local boutiques, like Flock Boston or Ku De Ta, for new designer threads, such as my recent favorite, Bella Dahl.

What are your must-have staple items for a great wardrobe?

Since this summer has been h-o-t, my wardrobe is packed with fun and flirty skirts, crop tops, light blouses, and easy, breezy dresses. I think every girl should have classic basic items that they can build off of – whether it’s a fun printed skirt, a simple tank, or a classic pair of high heeled sandals. Those three items alone build a cute outfit perfect for a summer night, but can be mixed and matched with different pieces to create multiple outfits.

What up and coming trend pieces do you currently own or have your eye on?

I have already started shopping for fall, stocking up on comfortable flats, classic jeans, and oversized blazers. I have a feeling I will be reaching for a lot of dark, muted tones – black, forest green, and plum – colors that just scream fall. I plan on breaking the rules and carrying my white pants (white jeans and white high-waisted trousers included) into the fall season, pairing them with crop blouses and knit sweaters. As much as I love summer, I can’t wait to wrap myself in large knit scarves while sipping a pumpkin spice latte.
