It’s a beautiful Thursday here in Boston, and it looks like the weather’s going to keep shining on through weekend. Enough small talk, though, let’s cut to the chase. This time around, there’s an Arts in the Park Festival, a beer tasting at the zoo, and Fourth of July fireworks in August all happening this weekend, and there’s plenty more where that came from.

Friday

Back Bay Harry’s Summer Sangria Patio Party – 5 to 7 p.m. – Back Bay Harry’s – Starting this Friday, Back Bay Harry’s will be hosting a free outdoor party on their patio with watermelon, red and white sangria and bites, from 5 to 7 p.m. Think of it as a summertime happy hour.

Adult Prom Night Dinner Cruise – 6:30 to 10 p.m. – Spirit of Boston – Want to relive your prom night? …Sure? Then hop aboard the Spirit of Boston for an entertainment cruise that lets you party like you’re 18 years young. Don your best prom dress or tux, enjoy dinner on the Harbor, and party all night.

Saved by the Boat 2014 with Social Boston Sports – 7:30 to 11 p.m. – Rowes Wharf – Not into a prom night but looking for a boat cruise? Join Social Boston Sports for a 90s themed boat cruise on the water. Things will kick off with a pre-party at Hong Kong in Faneuil Hall at 6 p.m. before heading out to sea, followed by a no-cover after party at Howl at the Moon.

A Night of Bromance with Dylan Petitt and Brian Osborne – 9 p.m. – Greatest Bar – If you’re a fan of The Bachelorette, snag tickets to this Friday night’s party at Greatest Bar, which will feature two TV star hosts: Dylan Petitt, the Boston-native contest, and fellow contestant Brian Osborne. Ten dollars gets you in, or a $35 ticket will get you a VIP meet and greet.

Saturday

Clean Water 6K – 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Chestnut Hill Reservoir – Boston’s water sustainability movement, BeCause Water, is hosting a 6K in order to raise money for the organization Water.org, which provides clean water to countries that don’t have it. Join BeCause Water on Saturday for a 6K race, followed by a get together with food, drinks and information on how to help the water sustainability movement.

Young Faces of ALS Corntoss Challenge – 11 a.m. – Technology Square Courtyard – Looking for a way to help support ALS that doesn’t involve ice water? Join Young Faces of ALS this Saturday for a cornhole tournament in the Technology Square Courtyard. Register your team ahead of time and partake in a charitable afternoon event.

The Lawn on D Grand Opening Celebration – 12 to 11 p.m. – Lawn on D – Head to the Innovation District’s new experimental event space on Saturday to celebrate its opening with live music, games, entertainment, food and drink all through the afternoon and into the night. The event is free to attend.

Arts in the Park 2014 – 1 to 8 p.m. – Malcolm X/Washington Park – Arts in the Park is entering its fifth year, and they’re inviting local artists to set up their own showcases in Washington Park in Roxbury for an afternoon of artist awareness. There will also be a mobile farmers market, live music and more.

Bacon! Bands! Beer! – 2 to 11 p.m. – Aeronaut Brewing – Still need to check out Aeronaut Brewing in Somerville? Head there Saturday afternoon to party with the brewery, the Bacon Truck, and Boston bands. Free to attend, register in advance.

5th Annual Brew at the Zoo – 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Franklin Park Zoo – Breweries and restaurants are setting up shop at the Franklin Park Zoo for an evening of beer samples and bites with the animals. For the first time in the event’s history, the entire zoo will be open for the event: that means you can cheers with the giraffes, zebras, gorillas, lemurs and more. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door.

Newton’s July 4th Celebration – 6 to 9 p.m. – Newtown Cultural Center – It’s the Fourth of July in August! After the inclement weather of this year’s July 4th, the City of Newton rescheduled their celebration to August 16. Enjoy the show in the park with live music, dancing, food vendors and a fireworks show at 8:30 p.m.

End of Summer Seafood Bash – 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. – TBD Foods – TBD Foods is continuing its Wicked Local Pop Up series with an end of summer seafood bash. Join them for a locally sourced, three course dinner featuring menu items like lobster 3-ways and tomato avocado salad. Tickets are $50.

Sunday

Dine Out Boston – August 17-22 and 24-29 – Various restaurants – It’s back! Dine Out Boston returns this Sunday for two weeks (excluding Saturday) and is bringing prix fixe menus from Boston restaurants at affordable prices back for the second time this year. Rescue the Runway Featuring Boston’s Finest – 5 to 9 p.m. – The Colonnade Hotel – Prolific and VIP Bostonians will be walking the runway this Sunday with an adoptable, adorable pet by their side for the inaugural Rescue the Runway event hosted by Jen Royle of the Boston Herald and Danielle Murr of WAAF. Proceeds will be donated to four MA-based animal rescue organizations, and a reception will kick off and follow the fashion show, as well as a live auction.

The Hong Kong 60th Birthday Party Street Festival – 6 p.m. – Hong Kong Harvard Square – Outside of the Cambridge location of the Hong Kong, the area will be turned into a street festival with a beer garden, a DJ, dancing and food, all in honor of the Hong Kong’s 60th birthday.
