Boston is teeming with recent graduates, young professionals and outsiders looking for a new city to start anew. Such a swelling population is accompanied by a generation with a strong interest in housing issues. After all, we’re the ones looking for the most accommodating and affordable living spaces with aspirations of home-owning not out of the question. But where and how do we begin to learn about such an intricate, multifaceted subject?

Lucky for you, the ONEin3 Council is hosting just the informative forum that you’re looking for: a house party, of course. On August 24, ONEin3 will be taking over District Hall in the Seaport for its #HUBisHome House Party from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The party will bring together Boston’s young professional and prospective renting and buying crowd with municipal officials and housing experts.

The event is free to all and will feature presentations from Deputy Undersecretary and Deputy Director of Department of Housing and Community Development Arthur Jemison, City Councillor Tito Jackson, former City Councillor Mike Ross, and Innovation Housing Expert Aeron Hodges.

Interactive art displays will also be made available so participants can tap into their inner artistic self and express their deepest thoughts and feelings about the housing market for all to consider and enjoy.

Did I mention there’ll be house party style carnival games as well? And who doesn’t like a good raffle?

See you there.
