BISq, short for “Bergamot in Inman Square,” will open this October in Cambridge, according to an official source. The upcoming eatery is being opened by the team behind Somerville’s Bergamot restaurant and will be located at 1071 Cambridge Street in Inman Square.

The 49-seat restaurant will feature two bars – a food bar “overlooking the open kitchen” and a beverage bar, notes a release. Kai Gagnon will serve as Wine Director and BISq GM while Bergamot GM, Servio Garcia, will be splitting his time between both restaurant locations.

A source adds that the dining program will be developed by Chef Bazzinotti, who will oversee the kitchen with Chef and Owner Keith Pooler (also sharing his time between both restaurant locations). BISq’s cuisine will focus on “eclectic small plates” and “an innovative charcuterie program” (pictured below). Diners can also expect a great beer and wine list selection to accompany the cuisine.

The restaurant space will feature “subway wood panels, a wine chandelier, and wine bottle bottoms to be used as design features,” according a release. An official source also notes that Bergamot will be “soft launching some of the BISq menu options as specials over the next few months.”

There will also be a special “BISq Sneak Peek Dinner” at Bergamot coming up sometime this fall. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more. For more information on BISq, be sure to check their Facebook for updates.
