On Thursday morning the Boston Fire Department responded to a four-alarm fire at 105 Murdock Street in Brighton. According to the BFD Twitter handle, there are no reported injuries or missing residents at this time. Boston EMS is also on the scene.

The BFD also notes that 14 people reside at the triple-decker home just a stone’s throw from Brighton Center. The Boston Globe is currently reporting that the blaze has also begun spreading to the rooftop of neighboring 107 Murdock Street.

BFD’s social media personnel first dispatched the news of the fire on Twitter at approximately 7:45 a.m. though they note the call came in at 7:30 a.m. Upon arrival a second-alarm was ordered which has since been bumped up to four-alarm status.

The City of Boston online assessing report indicates that the building, owned by Berkshire Investments LLC and managed by Robert Burk, is 3,421-square-feet i size and valued at $586,300. Those 14 reported residents share six bedrooms between them.

According to WBZ, authorities say “the fire apparently started on the first floor and then raced through to the roof.”
