Welcome back to work, y’all. Whether this Monday finds you still recovering from the Beyoncé show that was last night’s Video Music Awards, or if you managed to find some rest and relaxation, it’s time to look ahead and see what there is to do this week in the city. From a water taxi restaurant tour to a “jump and drink” fundraiser for MS, make sure you enjoy the last week of August. Wah!

Monday

Dine by Sea – 6 to 9 p.m. – Seaport District – Summer on the Waterfront presents Dine by Sea, a tour of four Seaport restaurants transported by water taxi. Enjoy small plates and drinks at RumBa Rum and Champagne Bar, the Odyssey, Strega Waterfront and Miel Brasserie Provencal. Admission is $100.

Chefs for Clefts presents: “A Night in Colombia” –  6 to 11 p.m. – The Tip Tap Room – Head to the Tip Tap Room for the first-ever Chefs for Clefts fundraiser benefiting the Massachusetts General Hospital’s Global Surgical Initiative, and directly supporting missions that help children with facial deformities. Guests can expect Colombian-inspired music, drinks and appetizers, as well as three-course “dinner for 10” auctions provided by the city’s leading chefs. Tickets are $50 at the door.

Tuesday

“Silicon Valley” Panel, Film, Dinner and Drinks – 5:30 to 8 p.m. – District Hall – “Silicon Valley” is a documentary that looks into how the Santa Clara Valley became the hub for industry and innovation. Watch the film, hear the filmmakers discuss it and enjoy free pizza and drinks at this District Hall event. Free to attend.

Chestnut Hill Square’s Biggest Block Party – 6 to 8 p.m. – Chestnut Hill Square – Browse shops and window displays, enjoy free treats and drinks from the local restaurants, and enter to win a shopping trip during the event’s fashion sweepstakes. Music will be provided by DJ Kupah, courtesy of Equinox.

Opus Affair August Punch Bowl Party – 6 to 9 p.m. – Belly Wine Bar – Opus Affair is hosting its monthly party on Belly Wine Bar this Tuesday, with the Punch Bowl Fund up for grabs by either Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Groupmuse or Big Red & Shiny. Donations are $5.

Wednesday

Sugar Rush 2014 – 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. – Harvest – Hosted by Chef Brian Mercury and Harvest, Sugar Rush 2014 brings together the city’s best pastry chefs from restaurants like L’Espalier, Oleana and Brown Butter Bakery. Reservations are $65.

Boston Grown-Ups Museum – 6 to 9 p.m. – Boston Children’s Museum – This August’s adults-only night at the Boston Children’s Museum is this Wednesday, with wine and beer served at the Fort Point museum, and all the attractions open to adults only. Tickets are $25.

Thursday

Jump and Drink for Multiple Sclerosis – 12 to 9 p.m. – SkyZone/Night Shift Brewing – Head to SkyZone between 12 and 8 p.m. in Everett for an afternoon of open jump, SkySlam court, and SkyRobics fitness classes and $5 of your admission will be donated to MS Society. In the evening, Night Shift Brewing (located 5 minutes from SkyZone) is hosting a party with trivia, beers, brewery tours, food and more. Tickets are $15 and all proceeds will be donated to MS Society.

BarUp Launch Party – 8 p.m. – The Point – BarUp’s app is launching live, and they’re throwing a party with Magic Hat to celebrate with free drinks, a live DJ and plenty of free stuff. No cover.

David Bowie Tribute – 9:30 p.m. – Beat Hotel – Join the Beat Hotel and the Steve Fell Band for a tribute to David Bowie featuring new arrangements of his classic songs. Music will begin at 9:30 p.m.
