Every day it seems Somerville’s new Assembly Row gains yet another amazing restaurant and shop. With new movie theatres, retail outlets and eateries opening constantly, this new area is quickly becoming one of the hottest parts of town.

And now, it looks as though yet another innovative new restaurant will be joining the mix. According to Eater Boston, River Bar, a restaurant serving up “elevated street food” will be debuting in Assembly Row this October.

The article reports that Chef Patrick Gilmartin, former co-owner of the now shuttered Staff Meal truck, will be one of the folks behind River Bar & Kitchen.

Restaurateur Ken Kelly is also behind the upcoming Assembly Row restaurant. Eater Boston reports that this “will be the sixth Somerville venue for Ken Kelly,” who owns other popular restaurants like Brass Union, Foundry on Elm, The Independent, Saloon, and the Davis Theatre.

Expect to see this new Somerville addition in early October – as well as quite a few other upcoming Assembly Row restaurants.
