Here in Boston, there’s no shortage of first-rate desserts to be found. But if you’re looking for a true sugar overload at one of Boston’s best restaurants, we recommend reserving your space now for Sugar Rush 2014.

Giving new meaning to the words, “dessert first,” this five-course dessert tasting menu will include treats created by some of Boston’s best pastry chefs. Brian Mercury, pastry chef at Harvest restaurant and host of Sugar Rush 2014, has invited a few of the hub’s best talents to join him in the kitchen.

Next week, the second round of Sugar Rush 2014 will take place on Wednesday, September 3 with a pastry chef line up that’s worth the ticket price. Diners can enjoy a five-course dessert tasting menu created by pastry chefs such as Giselle Miller (Liquid Art House), Molly Hanson (Grill 23 & Post 390), Jaime Davis (Deuxave), and Monica Glass (Clio & Uni).

The first Sugar Rush 2014 event took place this past Wednesday, August 27 and included Jared Bacheller (L’Espalier), Molly Rabideau (Oleana), Kelcey Rusch (Bergamot), and Jessica Scott (Brown Butter Bakery).

Bostonians looking to satisfy their sweet tooth can buy tickets by calling Harvest Restaurant at 617-868-2255. Tickets are $65 and if you prefer your desserts with vino, attendees can also pay an additional $25 for wine pairings.
