Happy September, techies! It’s time to pull yourselves out of the long weekend frame of mind and back into another work week. Whether you have a post-holiday funk to break or you’re already looking for something to get you out of the house and away from your new roommates after a (hopefully) successful Allston Christmas, there’s plenty of events to check out this week, from an Apps Demo Night to the 2014 Northeast PHP Conference.

Tuesday 9/2

Boston ENET: Entrepreneur Success Stories – Come hear the triumphs, tragedies and advice from successful entrepreneurs in the consumer, high tech and life sciences fields here in the Hub. Following presentations from the speakers, a Q&A session will be held along with a short networking period at the end of the event.

Boston Fintech Meetup: Selling Fintech to the Enterprise – Join former Fintech entrepreneur John Raguin of Devonshire Investors to discuss how to shorten the sales cycle and maximize your chances of success in the enterprise. A panel of decision makers and analysts at large, local financial institutions will also be there to discuss your questions and network.

Wednesday 9/3

Pizza and JavaScript Art in the North End – Art made with code in a park, with three Boston visionary types: Evelyn Eastman helped build Scratch at MIT, satirical bot maker Darius Kazemi and Open Web artist Kawandeep Virdee. Go to Christopher Columbus Waterfront Park and look for a screen, a projector and pizza.

Metrics Driven Sales: Taking the Magic Out of Sales – This program will go over how to introduce metrics into the sales process, how to build a CRM and figure out what to do with the data you’ve tracked. Building a sales process that is tracked is the key to scaling an organization. This program will help you understand how to build and model your sales process, which in turn will help you grow your organization.

West of Boston Demo Night: Apps, Prototypes, Ideas – Have an idea for an app that you’ve been working on?  Come to this event in Natick to show off your work and create some buzz around the product you’re creating. Get some feedback, snag some page views and network with other innovators.

Understand the Dilution Impact of Early-Stage Investment – Get the lowdown on the impact of proposed financing before you start talking to investors. This session will show you exact consequences of not fully negotiating terms including “per share price” and “option pool.” Registration is $40 and can be done here.
