Update: This year’s 50 on Fire nominations will be open through October 10th, 2014. Submit now.

Boston’s tech community has been busy this past year. Whether out raising funding, adding key members to their executive team or filing for an initial public offering, dozens of the city’s entrepreneurs have helped prove why we annually host 50 on Fire.

The third annual event celebrates the innovative companies and individuals making a mark on their industry, all while making Boston a better place. On Thursday, December 4, we will take to commemorating the trailblazers setting their respective scenes on fire, in areas that include: Marketing & Advertising, Media, Technology, Design, Dining & Retail, Sports & Fitness, Medicine & Healthcare, Education, and Arts & Entertainment.

Leading up to the big event, BostInno is hosting a series of industry-specific networking events, placing judges, past winners, current nominees and community members in one room for a night of complimentary hors d’oeuvres, mingling and high-profile elbow rubbing.

The first 50 on Fire industry meetup will be held at Carrie Nation Cocktail Club and Restaurant on Wednesday, September 24, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Influencers in Marketing & Advertising, Tech, and Media will be in attendance for some pre-main event fun.

Wondering who you might bump into at the event? We’ve rounded up some of the initial Tech nominees that have been on fire this past year. Don’t see a name on the list that you think should be? Nominations are open until September 30, so go submit the company or individual you believe is worthy of a 50 on Fire nod. And then, RSVP for next week’s meetup below.
